Boulder Ball Busters pick the following player with their approved trade pick of 2.1;
OF: Mikie Mahtook (Rays)
A little on Maktook (great name) from ESPN;
"Mahtook's "slide" ends with the Rays, who now have two strong picks with eight remaining tonight. Mahtook can play center field and has a good arm and his power ticked up this season in a strong conference despite the change in bats at the college level. He was generally projected to go in the top 20 and Law had him as high as No. 14 to the Marlins and No. 9 to the Cubs in previous mock drafts. The Rays may have drafted B.J. Upton's replacement, depending on the future status of Desmond Jennings."

Boulder Ball Busters takes;
2.18 Brian Goodwin
A little on Goodwin;
"Goodwin could have been a top-10 pick in the 2012 draft had he stuck around at UNC. Especially after he flashed all five tools in a stunning freshman season that saw him hit .291 with 13 doubles, eight triples, seven home runs, 63 RBI and seven steals.
Unfortunately, Goodwin was suspended for academic reasons and headed down to a JUCO school in Florida in order to achieve draft status for 2011.
He hit .392 for Miami Dade this season with eight homer and 16 steals, showing a good approach at the plate, a chance for solid power and great speed.
Goodwin is a very capable fielder with fluid movements in the outfield. While he has his makeup concerns, Goodwin's intriguing package of tools, that also includes a strong arm, should make him a first-rounder.
Still, going at the top of the second round is a solid place for Goodwin, and he's a good get for the Nats."

Boulder Ball Busters pick the following player with their 2.21 pick;
2.21 OF: Zach Cone (TEX)
A little on Cone;
"Cone had a terrible year, despite having a very impressive set of skills that should make him a real sleeper to the Texas Rangers at No. 37 overall. And while he could have catapulted himself into first-round consideration with a strong year, he's going to be a steal.
Cone jumped onto the 2011 draft scene last year, when he had a breakout season for one of the worst teams in the SEC, hitting .363 with 10 homers, 53 RBI, 13 steals and a conference-best seven outfield assists. Unfortunately, the most glaring stat for Cone is his 15:43 BB:K ratio, which can be partly explained by him pressing to do too much dealing with the absence of some of the Bulldogs' better hitters who have missed time with injuries.
Even with his strikeout concerns, Cone is a solid hitter and an immensely talented athlete with great power and above-average speed. He is a very good fielder, and despite his struggles this season, he was named to the SEC All-Defensive team.
This is a low-risk, potentially high-reward pick for Texas at this point in the compensatory round.
Draft grade: A-"

damnit I lost it at work and when I researched at home for a write-up, noticed he sucks;
"Larry Greene is a physical specimen. The 6ft 1in 230lb lefty hitter has all of the tools to make it to the big show. We have clocked Greene at 6.51 with a screw in his foot. Greene also threw 91 MPH from RF in a workout. Larry Greene has as much physical power as any kid in America. He can hit balls out of site. We saw a three homer performance in the State playoffs last season. Greene's weakness may be in the mental game. He has to step up this side of his game to get the big money draft day he is hoping for. The physical tools are in place we hope Greene can improve the other stuff and he could be a 1st Rounder. Several mock drafts have Greene going pick 33 to 36."

First the poor kid and his daddy had to sit on the MLB network with cameras on them for 4 hours on draft night and then I thought you were going to leave him hanging with no write-up. After the start you are off to he may turn out to be 2nd coming of the last kid left hanging in the MLB green room on draft night. Some kid named Mike Trout, I heard he might be pretty good.

OUCH...didn't realize he was the unlikely one to draft the only unsigned 1st rounder...well that evens out instead of being a coup
