Bandits get Mike Stanton OF Fla .600 y2y2 Cubbalonians get Alex Avila C Det .900 y2y3 Mark Trumbo 1B .600 y2y2 Jacob Turner Det Nolan Arenado Col Zach Cox SL Zach Cox was traded by the previous owner of Bandits and should have been on Boulders roster. I should have caught this, Boulder should have caught this and the previous owner should have caught this, but unfortunately no one did. That leaves us with a dilemma with no easy solutions. Here are some options I see: 1--Cubbalonians and Bandits rework this trade without Zach Cox. I have talked to Cubbie and he says Cox must be in the deal or he wants the trade overturned. 2--Bandits and Boulder work out compensation for Bandits to keep Cox from original deal in August and Boulder to receive player/pick of "equal" value. 3--This trade as well as the Scutaro/Baez trade are overturned because Cubbie says he would not have traded Baez unless he received the 3 prospects in the Stanton deal. I am open to any other suggestions. But I recommened the 3 parties involved try to work with each other if they want to keep these deals in place.

I am open to #2 if Bandits are...will PM him
I understand #3 as Cubba sent me PMs saying he only did our trade b/c of the other so I totally believe him.
So only choices are #2 and #3 (the final solution). Like I mentioned will ask Bandits but do note Cox was also key in the trade I did originally and someone I really wanted (want)

I am in discussion with Bandit but may take a bit to work out, but as he said, there is no immediate rush....just a FYI for those involved and waiting to hear something.

A temporary agreement pending League approval has been reached:
Ball Buster receive: 1st round pick in FYPD 1st round pick in MLFAD
Bandits receive: Sandwich pick after first round in the FYPD Sandwich pick after first round in the MLPAD
This is a win/win situation for everyone. All trades remain intact. Ball Busters are compensated for the loss of Cox with equivalent value returned in draft picks, and Bandits are compensated by the league for non-compliance. All parties who could be at fault for this issue are held responsible and accountable for their actions.

Boulder Ball Busters would agree to this out of the box solution and think it is a good compromise over a tricky challenge

I shall let Bandits defend himself on this one Let me make this clear that this is not an attack on him and I know he was not the actual person to make the first trade of Cox. I'm just trying to be as fair as I can be to all 20 owners in this league, and this proposition effects 16 owners who had nothing to do with the trades at all.

I am not sure why Bandits should get the two sandwich picks. His team received something of value before he took over as part of trading Cox. He still has Cuddyer on his roster and will conceivably get some sort of compensatory pick for Stauffer if he doesn't resign him. I am not sure who gets held accountable by Bandits receiving two sandwich picks. The majority of the league had nothing to do with the deal but our draft picks would be weakened (albeit slightly) and a franchise who traded Cox twice would get Cuddyer/comp pick for Stauffer/Mike Stanton and then two extra picks. I don't blame Bandits. This is not his fault. He didn't have a lot of time to get caught up on his roster and catch this himself. The two parties who did not make sure this went through on CBS properly were Josh (the previous owner) and Boulder. Not the rest of the league. This is not meant to point blame as I think there could be a solution that doesn't look to hold anyone accountable. I just don't see how the two sandwich picks make a messy situation any more "fair" A temporary agreement pending League approval has been reached: Ball Buster receive: 1st round pick in FYPD 1st round pick in MLFAD Bandits receive: Sandwich pick after first round in the FYPD Sandwich pick after first round in the MLPAD This is a win/win situation for everyone. Just want to be clear on my end of Cox so all know. I did the following when I acquired him in a trade in August;
-Immediately after approved Cox trade in August, posted on my Minor League Roster thread that he was on my team -Immediately after approved Cox trade in August, posted on my 2011 Transaction page he was part of a deal that I got -Immediately after approved Cox trade in August, posted on my Trades thread the Cox trade
All the above are searchable on this site if you just search under Zach Cox's name
What I also did about Zach Cox; -Sent Drive a PM on 1/17, before trade, saying Cox was on my team and should be moved there
What I take full responsibility for; -Forgot to include Cox on initial trade as it was for a TON of guys and got overlooked, still my fault (had to split it in two trades even though it was one here due to limits on CBS site) -Didn't catch it until 1/17 when I double checked my roster to the Master List published (but then immediately reported it, before the trade even happened to fix) -Exasperated the problem by not only seeing the Bandit's new trade of Cox but even posting on the thread "Big Trade" and not noticing and thus saying, Cox was mine (worst screw up)...and even having PMs with Cubba talking about Cox and never registering I owned him and speaking up....embarrassed on this one
No finger pointing or anything....and fine with outcome whatever it is.....but since this is highly unusual and somewhat high profile, just wanted to get some of the facts out there to help future owners avoid the mistakes I have made on this one.
My biggest problem is that in all my other dynasty leagues, the #1 official thing are the boards and not the site. Here it is the site and not the boards (as some teams don't even post team rosters on the boards). So I assume all searching is done here when it is not, it is done on the site.....so I assumed a quick search would pull up last team a guy trading for was on which won't always happen on the boards. Will know for the future.
We will figure it out, just may take a bit but I am game

I wasn't trying to blame you. My point in mentioning you was that the trade was with you. The rest of the league has nothing to do with it and why would the rest of the league want to compensate. I was referring to Bandits comment that those responsible are held accountable by his proposal. You are right it is searchable on the site. This is a good reminder to me that I need to double check my trades. I also need to post/update my team info. This was an easy thing for any owner to overlook let alone a brand new owner. So I completely understand how it happened, and I will admit that Boulder is probably the most thorough owner on the board. Check out his draft posts if you don't believe me Anyway, I am ok with whatever compensation is agreed to. I just wanted to point out that Bandits have received compensation for his franchise's 1st trade of Cox (Cuddyer and Stauffer) and I don't see why the sandwich picks or at least ones that high are needed

Aye....my point was just so other, newer owners can see what happened to avoid a mistake like it in the future, not to defend myself. Learning from others mistakes is always a good thing (and funny part is I truly thought I was so thorough that things would have back-ups to get caught if missed with my involvement the first time) and I learned from this one as stated.
All good, we will figure it out and livens up the board in the off-season doldrums before FA bidding

After much wrangling, Bandits and I have decided to allow the Cox trade (so not on my team) for the following compensation;
2012 FYPD 1st Round pick 1.15 2012 FYPD 2nd Round pick 2.15
Lessons learned! and glad it all got figured out
