We are having issues with the CBS site again. It started around lunch yesterday. I have a "help ticket" in to tech support, but that may take a while because I basically called the guy a dipshit when he asked me if we had drafted yet.
PM and let me know if there is a problem with your week 1 lineup.

This is my latest message to CBS support. Let me know if you see any other issues, that are not items I can normally fix.
--Live scoring is working, but only has the stats from today's game, not yesterdays.
--It allows me to make lineup changes AND save them correctly for period #2
--It allows me to make lineup changes for period #1 but it WILL NOT save them correctly.
--There are still invalid "players" listed at the bottom of some teams roster who are only listed as a period or comma.
--Why are you continuing to add "new" players to the database such as Ryan Howard, Joakim Soria, Barry Zito, Joel Hanrahan when they have clearly been in the database for years?
--A trade done on 3/27 has still not been processed to move the players to the new teams.

Ask why they charge $150+ for a service espn/yahoo does for free without issues. Ask why those free services have workable Apps and for 150 beans for every league CBS has , why does CBS have a circa 2003 App? I hate them.

Once we finish the MLFAD, I am going to try to "research" another site that can handle our scoring needs and minor leaguers. Any insight into experiences with other sites would be appreciated.

Research FanTrax

FanTrax--in my other league, we left CBS and went to this. A few aspects of it I like, but overall not a fan of it right now. If CBS continues on current path though, that opinion could change. Yahoo--don't currently have the scoring ability to do our and league and I doubt they will ever have any decent minor league ability to meet half of our needs. ESPN--have not researched in a while, but was very similar to Yahoo as far as the limitations. CBS--besides the price of gas, nothing in my life has gotten worse more in the last 2 years than the CBS fantasy site. 2 years ago, there were some quirks and the occasional bug to the site that was fixed fairly quickly, but it was fine and they were quick to help. Now they got bullshit apps to help me "name my team" and give me a "weather report", but can't actually put my team in action. Frustrated does not even begin to describe it.

Thirsty Thursday @ the Greenville Drive starts when? Not soon enough. Next Thursday is close though. --It looks like the live scoring is correct for both days of play now. --I am still working on fixing lineups for period #1, but it is not saving my changes and looks like they may be doing something with that. --If your lineup for period #1 is not correct (and does not involve Seattle or Oakland players) please let me know and I will get it fixed sometime

I just called the tech guy at CBS an idiot, so our week #1 issues may persist a few more days. Will let you know when it is good.

It is completely fried right now. No players, no updates, no nothing. Our tech guy might be a little sensitive. Don't curse Hodgie!

I just called the tech guy at CBS an idiot I have another help ticket that I think caused this. At least I know this guy is working on it. Maybe by the All-Star break we will have scores from week one.

Live scoring is working right now, but lineups are not 100% correct for week 1.
You can see complete rosters for each team if you go to week 1 or week 3 on that team's lineup page.
They are continuing to work on our "issue". They have not given me a time frame of when to expect it.

Has anyone ever used OnRoto.com for the stat service?

Has anyone ever used OnRoto.com for the stat service? Also, guys that have been exposed to FanTrax now, what is your opinion of it? These questions are not exactly about our immediate problem, but a long term solution. As you can tell, I am utterly disappointed with the CBS site and their customer service.

My thoughts on my limited experience with fantrax........
Pro: The list of minor leaguers is more extensive on fantrax so there are less "ghost players"
Con: I had an illegal roster in week 1 because fantrax decided to update the position status of one of my minor league pitchers. My stats were impacted because they decided my pitcher only qualified as a RP, but I still had him as a SP. Hopefully they won't do too many more in-season position eligibility changes.
Overall it isn't as nice looking as CBS, but the functionality seems ok as a user. I have no idea what it would be like to use their site as a commissioner though

Another Pro for fantrax is that my league on fantrax is operational while CBS customer service can't get ours to work. I can tell you that CBS fantasy baseball customer service is pretty horrendous from helping with a different league last season. I can't imagine fantrax or any other site being worse in that department
