What is your take on PTBNLs (Players to be named later) being part of trades in this league?
Here is one example:
I want to trade with an owner, but we can't agree on a price for his player. We decide to add pieces to the deal, but one of the guys was a 2012 free agent signing, meaning he can't be traded until June 1. Do you think it is fair to call this player a "PTBNL" in a trade that you do in May, with this player not changing hands until after June 1 has passed? This player must be stated to be involved in the trade and anything that happens to the player after the trade is complete does not effect the trade, so it is complete "buyer beware".
I think we should allow a trade like this, but wanted others opinion before it actually came up. To me, it is similar to the CLE-COL trade where Drew Pomeranz could not be named until 1 year had passed from his signing. He remained with Cleveland for about another month after the Ubaldo trade was done.
Please give all opinions.

Why not just move the date of players to be traded from FA signings to earlier (most of my leagues are as soon as the season starts or May 1st)? I think this would clear it all up

I'm fine with it as long as it does not involve free agents. The rule is 100% clear that they can be traded after June 1st. I think everyone can wait 2 weeks and not bend the rules if these guys are involved. I'm sorry I brought this up. I can't believe I am being accused of try to screw a newbie by "Mr Screw D. Newbie".

i thought this was ok to do during the off season. but was told this is not ok by a potential trade partner. its just too easy to say "i'll match player x and then trade him to you as a ptbnl"
i would like to see it implemented some how though. however the conditions must be exposed in the trade agreement. example.
Team X receives: Player X Player Y and a condition ptbnl if team Y finishes top 3 in standings
Team Y receives: Player Z Player A
