The plan is to start tomorrow. Only 2 teams have not checked in but one has been on our site everyday so he should know, hopefully the other will sign on, there seemed to be only one owner who voiced concern over Jeremy not being available and I dont wont to ignore that, but Jeremy did say he wanted to start, he's been emailed and text messaged more than once and by more than one owner and no response. waiting for three months for him to come back isnt right either because some of us might have vacations scheduled around the holidays making us not available. I feel very confident Jeremy wouldnt object to us starting

Again, I disagree with the decision to go forward with this draft. The fact that Jeremy has not responded shows he is unavailable. He should not have the same treatment that we would give guys who abandon their teams with picks assigned. We all know that can lead to a preponderance of pitchers and more fringe guys than the commissioner of the league should have. Yes, he did want to get the draft started but never found a way to do that.
Using the idea that 'some of us might have vacations scheduled' seems a bit ludicrous. Jeremy should be back before the holidays and, either way, we can find a time that works for all of us. Vacations don't normally make us unavailable. We may not check the board as often, but we can either make our picks once a day or get a list to another owner. That's a lot different than a guy being in a foreign country and actually not having the same kind of Internet access.
I want to do the draft as much as anyone. I also try real hard to myself in the other guys place and if I were Jeremy I think I'd be a little pissed to come back and find the draft completed and a bunch of questionable picks on my roster. I'm not sure why the impatience. I see 12 guys checked in here, not 18. Jeremy's team is listed as checking in and he has not done that on this thread. Some others have not either. I'm not a fan of rushing,into things that we maybe should not be doing. If the league is going to survive and we have enough committed owners they will all find a way to agree on a date to begging that works for EVERYONE in the league.
Look, I know that you're going to do what you feel like doing in all likelihood. You will find some way to justify that your way is the right way and is the way we should go. That's fine, but I really feel it is better to be a good league citizen and try to do what works for all. Jeremy works too hard here to get this kind of treatment.
Should we decide to go ahead with this it is going to be very frustrating/disappointing to see only 12 or 15 picks made in each round after round two or three.

I'm here guys. Sorry for such a delay. Thanks for everyone stepping up to help the league.
Rascals is out. He sent me a PM saying he was leaving. Sons of Sam Horn appear to be the other team who has not checked in and they have not been on the FanTrax site since early June so I am treating that team as open until I hear otherwise.
Even though not ideal for me, I think it is best we start the draft today. Akai Ryu has made his pick so Gladiators can pick anytime.
As far as Rascals and Sam Horn's picks go, we should pick the highest signed player available. Anyone on the board can make these picks for those teams and let's try to do it near their time slot, not late or the following day.
I can be reached by text at 864-567-0686 for any hot topics, but keep in mind I am 6 hours ahead of EST.
