Sold this guy's dad an autographed rookie card of him. Asked him what happened, because I knew he had been DFA'd by San Diego. Kid went from #3 prospect in Padres org to out of baseball in 2 years. Sounded like the Padres cut their losses before he racked up a bunch of medical bills. Dad said he was getting healthy. This is more of a sentimental pick-up than "scouting".
