Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well, I want to thank everyone for their participation in the FYPD. While i realize not everyone participated, there were some reasons for some. As I have stated all along, I do have 5 owners in the wings to take over some empty teams. We unfortunately had a couple teams drop out during the draft and the replacing teams wanted to wait until after to fill those spots.
I have opened a 2024 roll call. I would like for everyone to respond by end of the MLB world series or Nov 1 whichever comes first. I want to start backfilling ASAP.
The Free Agency declaration thread has been added and a 2024 Pre-season timeline also added.
MLFAD draft order has been added.
As of this email/posting I have added 2023 FYPD players through round 14 to your Fantrax rosters. If you happen to look and don't see a player, I've started a thread in the eligible players section for "not in Fantrax".
I am very encouraged that our activity level will increase with new ownership and am looking forward to the upcoming season.
As I stated when I took over, I really don't want to change anything as for as rules for this league. I know a few expressed their concerns about comp picks. With 20 teams in this league, I can see where there is more room for comp picks especially in the 1st 3 rounds and am open to tweaking that. I don't feel having any comp picks past round 5 adds any value to the draft so that is off the table. If you would like to discuss feel free to start a discussion to the forum.
